Ordering Instructions for the Million Pixel Track™

Before a pixel advertisement can be ordered, the advertiser needs to be registered with the web site and then login. The register or to login, click the login button on the main menu.

Registering:

• The first time on the system, advertisers need to register, click the "Not registered? Sign-Up!" link.
• Enter all of the information requested on the registration form.
• Note that all fields are required. The company name will by used during the ordering process.

Login:

• Enter your username.
• Enter your password.
• Click the login button.
• Note that the password entered is encrypted before it is stored in the database. So, no one will be able to see the password that was entered.
• Return to the Million Pixel Track™ by clicking the "Continue to the Million Pixel Track™" link.

To purchase space for a Pixel Ad, individuals need to be registered with the site and then login. Once logged in, click the Buy Pixels button to toggle off the lane lines on the home page.

Complete the information requested on each dialog that appears. Once all necessary information is collected, click on the PayPal button to pay for the order. Note that orders may be cancelled at any time during the ordering process (and all entered information will be lost).

Once the Lane Lines have been toggled off:

• Click on the location to place the pixel advertisement.
  New advertisements cannot overlap with existing advertisements and cannot be placed on the infield area of the track. An error message will appear should the advertisement be placed incorrectly. Advertisers will then have the opportunity to select another location or resize the advertisement.
• The login dialog will be displayed. Log in to the system (new users will have to create an account).

Order Form Part 1:

• Once successfully logged in, the Million Pixel Track™ Order Form Part 1 dialog will be displayed showing the starting cell selected for the advertisement.
• Select the height and width of the advertisement being ordered
• Select the term of the advertisement - 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months
• The cost of the selected advertisement will be calculated and displayed in the next dialog.
• Click the "Submit Submit Pixel Ad Information" button to reserve the advertisement space.

Order Form Part 2:

• Enter the URL (web address) for the web site to be associated with the Pixel Advertisement
• Enter the title for the Pixel Advertisement. This title will appear in the list of Pixel Advertisements shown on the Pixel List page.
• Using the drop down list, select the category in which the advertisement in to be placed. This category will be used when sorting and grouping advertisements for display on the Pixels List page of this web site.
• Enter the Tool Tip text. This text is shown when a visitor to the Million Pixel Track™ moves the cursor over the advertisement.
• To include an extended message (which is shown in the box at the top of the track's infield), select Yes from the drop down menu. Select No if an extended message will not be included (cost is $300 per year).
• If Yes was selected to include an Extended Message, then select the type of message to be included: Text or an Image. A text message will appear as entered. An image can be a logo, picture, image, or text as the content of an image (check the Million Pixel Track™ for examples of each style). Entering a text message in an image will give greater control over the formatting, font, and color of the message. The image files are 210 pixels wide by 158 pixels high. The image will be scaled to this size if it does not match these dimensions.
• If the text style of the extended message was selected, enter the text of the message in the box. (If the image style for an extended message selected, the file upload dialog will appear later - see below).
• Click the Submit Pixel Ad Information button.

Upload Pixel Ad Image:

• Browse your computer to find and select the file to be used for the pixel advertisement on the Million Pixel Track™.
• Click the Upload Ad Image button to continue the order process.

Confirm Upload:

• This dialog will confirm whether or not the image was uploaded correctly. If any problems are found, they will be reported. Please should note the error and use the browser's back button to try to submit the image again or to submit a different image.
• Click the Continue button to move on in the process.

Upload Extended Message Image:

• This dialog and the next are only displayed if an extended message is to be included and the type of image was selected on the Order Form Part 2 dialog in this process.
• Browse your computer to find and select the file to be used for the pixel advertisement on the Million Pixel Track™.
• Click the Upload Extended Message Image button to continue the order process.

Confirm Upload:

• This dialog should confirm that the extended message image was uploaded correctly. If any problems are found, they will be reported. Please should note the error and use the browser's back button to try to submit the image again or to submit a different image.
• Click the Continue to Payment button to move on in the process.

The Million Pixel Track™ Pixel Ads Payment Form:

• Click on the PayPal Button to pay for the order. A page on the Paypal web site will be displayed for this processing. Once the payment process has been completed, the option of returning to the Million Pixel Track™ is presented.
• As soon as the payment is received by Paypal, the advertisement will be displayed on the Million Pixel Track™. Refresh the web page to see the advertisement just placed.

Confirmation Page:

• When paying for the order on PayPal has been completed, the brower will be returned to an order confirmation page on the Million Pixel Track™ web site. The confirmation will include the order details for your records. PayPal will also send an e-mail message with the order details.
• If, for any reason, your payment has NOT cleared PayPal the advertisement space is reserved until the payment clears or the order is cancelled. Reserved advertisement spaces are shown in black.

Notes:

• The status of your Pixel Advertisement can be checked by logging in to the Million Pixel Track™ System.
• Advertisements are restricted to square or rectangular shapes. Advertising rates are listed in the Buy Pixels page.
• Payments for Pixel Ads are made via PayPal. Advertisers do NOT need to have a PayPal account in order to use PayPal. Credit cards are accepted.
• The maximum amount that can be paid for a single order via PayPal is $10,000. To place an advertisement that exceeds this amount, please contact .
