To purchase a pixel advertisement on the Million Pixel Track™ individuals need to register with the site and then login. Once logged in, click the Buy Pixels button to toggle off the lane lines on the home page. Then, click on the location where advertisement is to appear.
Individuals wishing to place an advertisement will be asked to create an advertiser's account, or to login if they already have an advertiser's account. Once logged in, complete the following steps:
- set the size of the advertisement (checks are in place to ensure new advertisements will not overlap any existing advertisement),
- select the term of the advertisement,
- enter the URL (web site address) to which the advertisement will link
- select the category in which the advertisement belongs
- enter the tool tip text that will be displayed when a visitor's cursor moves over the advertisement
- decide whether or not to have an extended message. If an extended message is to be included, then:
- set the type of extended message (text or image)
- enter the text or
- upload the extended message image
- upload the image for the pixel advertisement
- Pay for the advertisement using PayPal. Advertisers do NOT need to have a PayPal account in order to use this service. Credit cards will be accepted by PayPal for the pixel advertisement.
The cost of the advertisement will be calculated and displayed once you have set the size of the advertisement and selected the term of the advertisement.
